2017 looks to be an entertaining fall for Left of Centre, as the band is set to share the stage with many of Canada’s brightest up-and-coming acts, including:
One Bad Son is touring in support of their fifth album, and third on a major label. ‘Made in the Name of Rock N’ Roll’ is set to be released in October and the first single, ‘Raging Bull’, has already earned the band a #1 hit on the Canadian Rock Radio Charts. The group from Saskatoon has a growing arsenal of top ten Canadian rock hits including ‘Scarecrows’, ‘Retribution Blues’, ‘Satellite Hotel’, and ‘Black Buffalo’, among other successful singles including ‘It Ain’t Right’ and ‘Psycho Killer’. The group is set to embark on their first European tour this September, which will be followed up with the cross-Canada tour starting in October.
The Aviator Shades are a vintage hard rock outfit from Vancouver, BC. They are set to release their second EP, titled ‘This Is What We Do’, on September 15th. The EP’s first single, ‘Burn It Down’, reached #33 on the Canadian Rock Radio Charts over the summer. The band’s debut EP was released in 2015 with the help of producer Danny Craig (Default, One Bad Son), which garnered them their first charting single, ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ The group is once again working with Danny Craig, while also enlisting the services of Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Aerosmith) to help complete the project.
The Vidos are a punk/pop/rock trio from Vancouver, BC. They have just released the first single to their next project, titled ‘Perfect Stranger’ which has been climbing the Canadian Rock Radio Charts since it’s release. The group is best known for their previous single, ‘Car Trouble’, which was released in 2016 and earned them a number of live festival appearances across Canada.
Special Ops are a hard rock/metal quartet from Montreal, QC. They have just released their 8th studio project, an EP titled ‘Baby Take It All’. The group has numerous US and Canadian media placements in their career including the theme song for Sid’s Cycle Show, airing on Showcase, Spike, Global, and Men TV. Special Ops also have an independent music award to their credit for their 2009 release ‘Through the Heart of An Infidel’.
